Interesting thanks.

I'd trust you with the education of children infinitely more than any political party.

That said, we must deal with the educational and political systems as they are, which IMHO are corrupt and broken beyond repair.

Therefore 'home-schooling' is my answer to children's education.

Gabor Mate (Myth Of Normal) explains much better than I can, as does the Wise Wound by Shuttle and Redgrove; both of which explain generational trauma, and the subjugation of women by men, among many other issues of education, health and governance.

Thanks Alan, I think Labour is trying to do two things that are in tension, restating academic standards - they suggest there will be no return to 2007 / 2010 reforms - whilst also turning to education to solve political problems (they are not unique in doing this); I think what we need to do is defend a strong boundary between education and politics, so that both might flourish, education can feed democracy well educated citizens, if it is left to concentrate on its internal goods, and politics works better, when the debates are had out honestly, between adults, rather than through education, this is my focus for the next post, thanks for reading, nice to know it's not going into a total void
